SAP Archiving

这个星期二 公司的系统瘫痪了 在sm50里update process 都被占有了 没有人可以update，查看sm13 说是update deactivated，然后manually activate 了process，一会儿又停了，很奇怪都是supply officers 的process停了，重新启动了SAP 也是没有用，用DB02最后发现原来是mseg table满了 而且不能自动扩展了，最后只能table reorganize了 这都是因为没有做data archiving的原因

Add a printer at server level for SAP printer

For the example below I will use the printer name 'sap_XXX1'

The process is:

• Add the printer to /etc/hosts. Use the short form hostname, not a fqdn. Format is sap_ where is something meaningful to the customer, often geographic or site related with an index to map instances where the site has multiple printers which obviously is common. including any instance is usually specified by the customer.
• Test you can hit the printer using a ping or telnet if it’s a jetdirect or similar.
• remove any existing queues with the name you are using:

/opt/hpnpl/bin/removequeue -f -q sap_XXX1

• add the new queue:

/opt/hpnpl/bin/addqueue -i 3 -b off -q sap_XXX1 -h sap_XXX1

• test.
